I feel so called out, it's almost scary! 😢 I watched this episode while literally putting on my Helena Rubinstein eyeshadow in Sugar brown. It is soo old it should have been tossed last decade, but I just haven't found a dupe yet (not that I have sat down and actually looked). The first foundation I got shade matched to was with Helena Rubinstein and for years that was all I wore (same bottle 🤢, cause I didn't wear makeup that often). When it eventually ran out, I repurchased it, cause it was still the only foundation I had really tried. Then when the panini hid, I fell into a rabbit hole on beauty UA-cam and that's where my makeup midlife crisis comes from.

The charlotte tilbury ultimate(hell) ‘NO’ foundation! Someone I watch did the stick on what side, flawless filter on the other && you could NOT tell the difference. It’s prob stupid expensive too for nothing! KEV I agree, last week I commented that I 💗 lip liners by her because of how long lasting they are & other than nyx line loud I’ve yet to find a drugstore alternative. That nyx line the shades are SO off orange, peachy, hot pink when they’re described as most natural shades & they usually nail lip shades. I’m waiting for ELF to dupe those!!! Or rly any drugstore alternative. I know it can be done!!!

When Kev said he bought that Mac pride palette for $150 while I was like well, I also enjoy having some of my pretty makeup/perfume on display I was like… not that for $150 so to hear it on the pass list & even him questioning it I felt bad cuz I had a feeling he’d be like that wasn’t altogether necessary. Can you please review Laura Geller makeup? She's the OG of baked products, especially baked blushes and not sure why no one is talking about it? Many baked blushes went viral and well loved (ie: Milani, MAC Mineralized, Essence, and Kosas) but no one ever mentions Laura Geller's blushes. Why do you think no one talks about her stuff? I recently tried her baked blushes and loved it! Am I missing something?

So on the Patrick Ta subject, with glowy products and oily, textured,or combo skin not being compatible, though I do agree with Johnny that yes you may need to find a certain mixture and order and technique to make them work for you. However if you want to wear a glowy look, glossy shiny products, wet-look shimmers, or whatever, then you should do that if you feel pretty and you like it. It is ok if your texture shows a bit more. It's ok if it dissapears quickly and you either have to reapply or you end up not looking your best by the end of the day. We have skin. Everyone does. Everyone has pores. Texture. Lines whether static or dynamic. You would probably look and feel better if you just accepted yourself and do what makes you happy than if you put tons of effort into trying to hide yourself and bend an effect to try and trick your appearance. Just gloss up that cheek and smile bright knowing your cheekbones are going to be catching the light and giving the effect you wanted!!!

Also, controversial but brave hot take: I bought 2 of the Patrick ta highlighters: my love and sugar. I'm light-medium warm skin and I can see the silver reflect in my love and the sugar blends into my skin. Both can be built up to be seen from space, but I've learned that the slightest swipe and pat of the balm over top gives me a breathtaking subtle glow, wet look. I do have texture, and going in with a light hand still gives that glow, wet, luminosity. Needless to say, using so little each time, they will see me through for at least a decade. And when it's on, it lasts like an 8 hour day.

I buy the minis on clearance because I never use them enough to pay full price and I can never make it through a full one.

Nyx bronzer all shades are reddish. The darker colors would be really nice as blush
